In 2014 BLM organized an unforgettable show for both the fans and those who wanted to experience the thrill of the big stage. Hosted at the end of June Kavarna Rock Festival 2014 offered a line-up including some of the most prominent stars of the rock and metal scene as well as the first Kavarna Black Sea Battle of the Bands.
Bands from Bulgaria, Romania, Russia, Turkey, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine competed for the title of the first Battle of the Bands winners. The rules determined not one, but two winners - one with the international jury's vote and one with the fans vote. The seven bands that were chosen to perform on stage were determined after an initial round of applications, that included at least one recorded original song.
Aura (Romania) and Sevi (Bulgaria) were the winners of that night, getting the chance to kick-off the two days of the festival, warming up for acts like Europe, Helloween, Sabaton, Krokus, Pretty Maids and Gotthard among others, as well as receiving additional perks such as professional recording sessions.
